Manila, Philippines – Last November 10
at the Microsoft Philippines office, the launching of Bloom in STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and the 200th birth anniversary of
Ada Lovelace takes place. Who is Ada Lovelace? She is a British mathematician and a
computer visionary, she is well known as “the first world computer programmer” and she is a woman.
The whole program was
focused on empowering and encouraging women to participate in contribution to works & ideas in the STEM field. In addition, because of the stereotypical
misconception that girls are not interested in science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics, the whole world are surely loosing some great
talent. Who knows what will happen, if we eliminate the limiting factors that
hinders the growth of a young individual (especially for girls). BloomTV
invited four speakers, who already have a great contribution in the field of
STEM.
